HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC — Planning your warm weather vacation for Summer 2020? Delta Air Lines has announced the addition of a fourth daily flight between the Hilton Head Island Airport (HHH) and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). This additional frequency will begin on June 8, 2020 and run through August 31, 2020. Tickets are on sale now and available for purchase at delta.com.

“Delta’s Hilton Head customers now have even more opportunities to access the more than 200 destinations served from our leading airline hub at Hartsfield-Jackson,” said David Stratchko, Director of Sales — East Region, for Delta. “We’re pleased to deliver more of our award-winning customer service to the Beaufort County region.”

Year-round service to Atlanta began in May 2019. At its Atlanta hub, Delta operates approximately 1,000 daily departures to destinations across the U.S., Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean, South America, Europe and Asia. With the addition of this fourth frequency, travelers will be offered morning, mid-day and evening flight options opening up more flexibility for area travelers and visitors. Delta’s seasonal service between HHH and New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA) will resume June 27, 2020.

“Delta Air Lines has been a wonderful partner to Hilton Head Island and the Beaufort County region,” said Jon Rembold, Airport Director for the Hilton Head Island Airport. “A commitment like this in any region only works when travelers choose to use the service. The growth in Delta’s HHH network options is a direct result of ridership and the continued support from both locals and visitors to our island.”

“The airport team and its partners continue to work hard to get the word out about flight options and the positive impact that air service has on the region,” said Mayor John McCann. “The announcement of this additional daily frequency to Atlanta positions us to enter 2020 more fully prepared to serve our island’s air service needs.”

“Business and leisure travelers now have conveniently timed daily flights to Atlanta as well as added opportunities to connect to cities throughout the U.S. and beyond,” said Stu Rodman, Chairman of the Beaufort County Council. “The fourth daily frequency helps to open up an important business access point to our region and also helps to attract new tourists to the area.”
