• Is there a difference between the Hilton Head Island Airport and the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport?

  Yes. The Savannah International Airport (in Savannah, GA) was recently re-named to Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport due to the amount of their traffic that is destined for Hilton Head. The Hilton Head Island Airport is the only airport actually located on Hilton Head Island.

• Why choose the Hilton Head Island Airport?

  Location! Location! Location! The airport is centrally located on Hilton Head Island, which is very convenient for our passengers and preferable to the alternative - enduring an hour-long drive from Savannah. Taxis or rental cars are waiting to take you to your island destination, no more than 15 minutes away!

  Upon arrival at the Hilton Head Airport, you'll be charmed by the beautiful architectural design of our terminal. The building is large enough to accommodate the thousands of travelers and guests that pass through each month, yet small enough to make your airport experience easy and enjoyable. So, what are you waiting for? Fly to the fun!

• What is the airport’s three-letter airport code?

  For air travelers booking tickets, it is HHH, but we also have an FAA-designated code - HXD.

• Does the airline provide wheelchair access?

  Yes. Please see American Airline representative upon arrival.

• Is there a shuttle to USMC Parris Island?

  Hilton Head Island Airport does not provide shuttle service to USMC Beaufort. Please visit website: www.graduations-for-basic-training.com for more graduation information.

• There have been many movies made in this area. Where were some of the more notable movies filmed?

• Can I rent a car at the airport?

• How early should I arrive before my flight?

  At least one hour prior to scheduled departure, but 90 minutes is recommended. 

• How does the kiosk parking work?

  *Important* License plate number is required to operate kiosks. All parking is pre-paid. Kiosks are located inside the terminal near security screening. Kiosks are easy to read with step-by-step instructions.

• What is address of the airport?
